Pay using ebg.bg
You can now pay your M-Tel bill using the eBg.bg portal. It enables you to pay your bill online or by texting a message. To pay online, follow these steps:
- Register with eBG.bg by logging on to www.ebg.bg
- Register your bank card on eBG.bg. Once you enter the website, please choose Payment sources >Register new card
- After you register your card, please choose Services > M-Tel > Add M-Tel utility bill from the main menu.
- On the next screen, follow the instructions to fill in relevant details. You will need to have an invoice with you that features your 4-digit security code. Choose the Register tab.
Your M-Tel account appears in the Utility bills field located on the first screen of your account page (My eBg.bg).
In the short description of your account, you will see the “i” tab. Once you click the tab, a detailed description of your M-Tel bill appears along with several main functions. For updated information on your due amounts, click on Amount due tab. - Click on the green tab and you will view a screen on which you need to confirm your payment. Enter your password and press the Confirm tab.
Before you register your bank card at eBG.bg, keep in mind that Bulgarian debit cards (MAESTRO/BORIKA) need to be “authorized for making online payments” at an ATM. To do so after inserting the card into an ATM please choose Other Services > Online Payments to confirm the “authorization”.
Pay by text
To make things easier for you eBg.bg offers you one more option. You can receive invoice notifications by a text message and confirm your payment to a specific utility company by a text message sent in reply to the portal. To use the service, please go through the following steps:
- Register your mobile phone at Profile > SMS Settings and follow the instructions on the page.
- Confirm the payment and check your status from the Command Configuration component on the same page.
- To choose one of your registered bank cards as your “default card” (can be done when you register), follow Payment sources > Register new card > User settings > Default card > Yes.
- Choose a text message code for the utility bill you wish to arrange payment for (your M-Tel bill). Do so on the Profile > SMS settings in the SMS code configuration field. Enter a text message code for your M-Tel bill. You can just enter “mtel”.
- Top up your eBg.bg card. eBg.bg SMS services are paid via user’s eBg.bg card. You can top up your eBg.bg card using your registered bank card by going to Payment sources > eBg.bg card > Charge.
You can check your current bills by texting a message to number 1033 in the following format:
If your command for checking your due amounts is “check” and the text message code for your utility bill is “mtel”, enter "check mtel".
Pay by text
You can pay your current M-Tel bill using a text. Just text a message to number 1033 as follows:
If your command for paying the amount due is “pay” and your text message code for your bill is “mtel”, enter "pay mtel".
Once you text the message, you will receive a reply from eBg.bg on your payment status.
