Make an easy start!

To easily keep track of your security through the mobile phone as you go, activate M-Tel MOBILE EYE in just 7 quick steps:

1. Make sure you and the camera are both located in a 3G-covered area.
2. Before using the Data SIM with the camera, use another phone to remove the PIN-check.
3. Insert the SIM card in the designated slot in the rear panel of the camera. Press and hold the power button. Green flashing indicator in the front panel will mean that the camera is powered up and ready to operate.
4. Dial the camera’s number (exactly the way you dial an ordinary mobile number) using Video Call, and wait until connection is established.
5. Upon connection the camera will produce a short beep. You must then enter a PIN code (initially the PIN code is: 0000) and press “*” to confirm.
6. After successful connection, you may actively navigate your camera using the key pad of your 3G phone.

Attention! The keypad functions are only accessible during Video Call White-list users have no access to the administrator menu and may not change the camera’s settings via SMS commands.

7. To record a video file, use a T-Flash compatible memory card (it is not included in the kit), which you should insert in the designated slot in the rear panel of the camera (just like the SIM card). After you establish a video call with the camera, enter the administrator menu by pressing the “0” key, and then press “5” to enter the Video Recording menu. You will then see the available space in the memory card as well as the available recording time. Type the desired interval you would like to record. The camera will discontinue the current video call and will switch to recording mode.

Note that:

• In case you enter a wrong PIN code for three consecutive times, or you miss to enter a PIN code within 60 sec., the camera will automatically drop the connection.
• The first ever user to call the mobile camera and enter a valid PIN code, becomes its administrator. The administrator can control the camera’s functions either through SMS commands, when the camera is in stand-by mode or through the special menu by pressing the “0” key during video call. The administrator’s number can be modified, but not deleted.
• Every other user who calls the camera afterwards will be automatically added to a “white-user” list that includes maximum 20 numbers (incl. the administrator). All numbers in the white-user list may connect to the camera without PIN code authorization (depending on the settings made by the administrator via SMS command). In case the white-user list is full, every other user who tries to reach the camera will be automatically disconnected from the video call.
• To secure your camera from unauthorized access, use the administrator menu during video call to change the PIN code. Then use an SMS command to set a mandatory PIN code request for all users who call the camera. Read more about the SMS commands in the User Manual.
• The mobile camera could easily be mounted on a convenient surface (incl. walls or ceilings) using the special attachment for fixed mounting. No constant power supply is needed for the camera to operate.
