08.02.2010 - The telecom leader announces a competition for journalists „M-Tel Media Masters”
The company will honour the best achievements in covering the telecommunications
The leader on the telecommunication market on Bulgaria lays the beginning of the „M-Tel Media Masters” competition for journalistic contribution in covering topics related to the telecommunications.
The materials will compete in two main categories: press media and electronic media. They should represent topics, related to the telecom sector or other spheres of our life, influenced by the telecommunications.
The aim of the competition is to show the importance of the telecommunications and the new technologies for the development of the economy not only in Bulgaria, but in the world as a whole.
The best achievements will be selected by an independent jury including journalists, media experts, representatives of journalistic associations, media organizations, academic institutions and M-Tel. Among the criteria according to which the jury will rank the materials for the competition are: level of informing, objectivity, analytical approach, and creative and out of the box approach to the topic.
The winners in the two categories will be honoured with the „M-Tel Media Master” Grand Award. They will receive a certificate, a financial bonus of 5 000 BGN and a portable computer. There will be runner-ups in each of the categories which will be ranked in second and third place. They will also receive a certificate, financial bonuses – 2 000 for the second and 1 000 for the third place – as well as object awards.
Up to the 15th of March the candidates should send their personal author’s materials, published or broadcasted in period from the 1st of January 2009 to the 15th of March 2010. Each journalist may apply with up to three own materials. Materials, nominated by media, non-government organizations and/or experts in the field of media and/or telecommunications will also be accepted in the competition.
The „M-Tel Media Masters” Awards will be granted at a ceremony in the middle of April 2010.
