The telecom signed a contract for co-operation with the basketball team
Today, with the official signing of a partnership contract by the CEO of Andreas Maierhofer and Sasho Vezenkov, CEO of PBC LUKOIL Academic, the beginning of a two-year co-operation was set.
“As a leading Bulgarian company, investor in Bulgarian sports, we are proud to support one of the most attractive and exciting disciplines”, said the CEO of Andreas Maierhofer after signing the contract. “We wish the team luck in the battle for the National championships title and noteworthy performance in the European club tournaments”, he added.
“We are extremely happy with attracting a partner like M-Tel. This is its consecutive act of a socially responsible company supporting the sport in the country and as of today – the most successful basketball team in Bulgaria”, stated Sasho Vezenkov, CEO of the 19-time champions.
M-Tel is one of the biggest sports sponsors in Bulgaria. The telecom organizes the prestigious chess tournament M-Tel Masters and the beach volleyball contest M-Tel Beach Masters. The company sponsors the chess world champion and current leader in the world rankings Veselin Topalov and Petar Stoichev, who is also a winner of nine consecutive FINA Open Water Swimming Cups, FC Levski, the Ski and Tennis federations and others.
